same time prevents unwanted stray light from entering the lens. It blocks the
peripheral lights with out extending into the image area. Also, it increases the
performance of the lens and enhances the image quality. In less then ideal
lighting conditions, the performance difference can be substantial. The lens
hood is available in attractive black color and available in the 40.5mm thread
size.
