Sigma 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM Art Lens is designed for Canon EF-mount APS-C
format DSLRs, where it provides a 80-160mm equivalent focal length range. The
lens is constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material, along
with traditional metals for greater precision and use in wide temperature
variations. The outside of the lens barrel is also engraved with the year of
production.
Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) the lens offers quick and accurate control over the
artistic effects achieved by the lens high quality elements. The lens Hyper
Sonic Motor ensures quick, quiet and precise auto focusing. Also permits
full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.
Features One SLD element, three FLD elements and one high-refractive index have
been incorporated within the lens design to correct for chromatic aberrations
throughout the entire focusing range and help to ensure high image sharpness and
clarity. It is suitable to use for sorts, landscapes, portraits, arts, group
shots and general use.
The super multi layer coatings reduce
lens flare, internal reflections and light scattering that can occur between
the surfaces of its glass elements. This lens incorporates a brass made bayonet
mount which has both high accuracy and durability.
The nine-blade diaphragm has been constructed from fluorine-coated
polycarbonate, along with a carbon feather film for exceptionally smooth,
controlled performance when photographing at high shooting speeds. Its fast
f/1.8 constant maximum aperture benefits working in difficult lighting
conditions throughout the zoom range and also offers increased control over
focus when working with selective focus techniques.
