Slik pro 500 DX Tripod is a compact edition of the
Slik pro 700 DX Tripod with the
same A.M.T alloy construction that provides 40% more strength-to-weight ratio
than any other tripod have. It is a medium size pod
compatible with Medium format cameras, 35mm SLRs with long telephoto lenses.
Slik Pro 500DX Tripod includes all metal constructed 3-way pan head. It
features a 4-way quick shoe, which has the ability to mount on the head in any
direction. Fast setup of camera and other devices is now much easier with the
lockable quick release shoe. The 3-way pan head is equipped with 2-way panhandle
and a uni-directional tilting handle.
A combination of three position leg angle locks and adjustable centre column
make Slik Pro 500-DX Tripod perfect for macro photography, by adjusting it to a
minimum height of 35cm only. The centre column is two threaded which unscrews to
convert the top section of the pod to short centre column.
The 3-section legs are equipped with lever locks for easy setup on uneven ground
or stairs. The Legs of Slik Pro 500 DX Tripod extend to 63.95 inches/ 162.5cm
from any section regardless of order and folds down to 27.38 inches/ 69.5cm. The
3-position leg angle locks facilitate the users to adjust the tripod height at
three different altitudes. Many tripod legs turn around whenever a user place
heavy devices on it. To remove this drawback, Slik incorporated an
anti-rotation groove lock in each leg section of Slik Pro 500 DX Tripod, which prevents it from
being rotating. To prevent indoor surfaces from scratches the each leg tip is
covered with a rubber.
